Open Position – Director of Youth Ministries

Our prior director just finished her Master’s degree and has moved out of state. She reinvigorated the program for the youth of Central UMC providing them opportunities to attend mission trips, retreats, and do service projects for our church. We are looking for someone to continue the program and help it grow even more, guiding the youth of Central UMC in their walk with God.

Sunday Youth Group

Youth Group meets on Sunday afternoons from 3:00pm – 4:30pm in the youth room, which is located on the second floor of the church building. During this time, we enjoy fellowship with one another while learning important lessons from the Bible that can be applied to the lives of youth.

Sunday Mornings

We encourage our youth and families to attend our church services, whether they be virtual or in-person. After the service, we hold a Sunday School class that works through a different curriculum book each season, the class begins at 10:30am and is held in the youth room when church services are in-person.

Summer Camps

The youth of Central UMC attend both junior high and high school camps at Santa Claus Campground in Santa Claus, IN. Our church has a long history with the camp, and we are so blessed to have such a wonderful place to share in the love of God and learn more about how He wants us to live. Youth Mission Trip

The youth are given the option to participate in a mission trip each summer, where we focus on giving back to those less fortunate, and truly understanding what it means to be the hands and feet of God.
