The Kindling is a contemporary worship gathering that ignites and kindles a spiritual flame in Ordinary People, So they Can Serve An Extraordinary God. When you come you can expect that we will sing a couple songs, hear a few announcements that will be relevant to you, sing a couple more songs, participate in a message from Pastor Kevin, and close with a final song. We are a relaxed gathering, and we dress casually. (The pastor and worship team often wear jeans.) We encourage you to grab a cup of gourmet coffee and a donut as we explore community, faith, and life together.

Traditional Gathering

DSC_0435The Traditional Worship Gathering meets each Sunday at 9:15 a.m. in the Sanctuary. The hour-long worship experience includes responsive readings, traditional hymns, and beautiful organ and piano music. The Chancel Choir sings each week, and the Bell Choir frequently leads us in worship, as well.

Music Ministries

Bell Choir

Central United Methodist Church is blessed to have an active Bell Choir that participates in our traditional service throughout the calendar year. The Bell Choir meets on Wednesday nights at 6:15 in their practice room just off the sanctuary. They are led by Karen Renner. New members of all skill levels are welcome to join and learn.

Chancel Choir

The Chancel Choir leads each Sunday September through May during Traditional Worship. Choir practice takes place in the Choir Room just outside the sanctuary on Wednesday evenings from 5:15 until 6:15. The Chancel Choir and Music Director Wayne Jones welcome new singers regardless of musical background or level of experience.
