When you arrive at Central United Methodist Church, we want you to feel welcome and relaxed. We have parking lots near all of our entrances with easy access to the Sanctuary, Family Life Center, and child care. Ushers and Greeters will be available to help you find everything from worship locations to restrooms.

We offer child care during all Sunday morning activities. This includes a staffed nursery for children under two years old. During both worship gatherings, we have children’s church for children in fifth grade or younger. Typically, a child going to children’s church during the 8:45 a.m. worship gathering starts in worship with his family and is escorted to room 107 after Children’s Moment, and a child participating in children’s church during the 11 a.m. worship gathering is taken to room 107 prior to worship. We also have Sunday school classes for children and youth of all ages with exciting, Biblically-based, and age-appropriate curriculum taught by caring and supportive teachers. Most importantly, children are always welcome to participate in either worship gathering, even if they make some noise.

Knowing what to wear to worship is often a concern for guests. At Central UMC we do not have a dress code or dress expectations. When you participate in our worship gatherings, you will notice that most of the people in the pews at 8:45 a.m. are wearing business casual, and it is not unusual to find jeans at 11 a.m. However, you will certainly find a wide range of dress, so please, come as you are.
