Children Sunday School

DSC_0499Central UMC has classes for both preschool and elementary children.  Preschoolers meet in the nursery (Room 107). Kindergartners through fifth graders learn together in Room 106.  Both groups use The Gospel Project for Kids, a study designed to go through the Bible chronologically over the course of three years.  Each lesson points to how Jesus saves us from our sins.  While in Sunday school, children enjoy the video Bible stories, music, games, collector cards and more!  Sunday School begins at 10:30 a.m.

Nursery Care

Nursery Care is provided by a consistent staff member and carefully selected volunteers for infants through age four in room 107 during all worship and Sunday School times.

All children are always welcome in worship.  During the 9:15 a.m. service, we provide Worship Connection bags that can be found in the back of the sanctuary.  The bags are designed with third through fifth graders in mind.  They contain activities designed to complement the sermon each week.

Children’s Church

Following the Children’s Moment in the sanctuary, kindergartners through second graders are invited to head to the back of the sanctuary. From there, they are lead to Room 106.  Once in Children’s Church, they sing a hymn, participate in a lesson planned around the pastor’s Bible text of the day, and pray together.  Children are either picked up at 10:15 a.m. following Traditional Worship or they can stay for Sunday School.
