Choir practice takes place in the Choir Room on Wednesday evenings from 6:15 until 7:15 p.m. and on Sunday mornings beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Chancel Choir is always eager to invite new members into the fold regardless of your musical background.
Bell Choir
Central United Methodist Church is blessed to have an active Bell Choir that participates in our traditional service throughout the calendar year. The Bell Choir meets on Wednesday nights and practices from 7:30 until 8:15 p.m. The Bell Choir is currently being led by Letta Fraccaro and they are always happy to involve new members into their group.
Weddings
Central United Methodist Church and Pastor Joe Easley welcome couples who want a Christian service of marriage. Rev. Easley is glad to work with couples desiring marriage and usually has three session of premarital counseling, which he seeks to make helpful and enjoyable. Our Sanctuary is a beautiful, worshipful place for weddings. Many people are surprised at how well it works to have two interior aisles, one each for the bridal party processional and recessional.
It is wise to schedule weddings 6 to 12 months in advance to coordinate a date acceptable to you, when the church and pastor are available, and to allow sufficient time to prepare for the wedding and the marriage. Generally less than 3 months is not enough time.
The church can also host a reception in either the Family Life Center or Garden Room, whether or not the wedding is at Central Church. Click her for more information on rental policies and fees. Be sure your wedding party is aware that smoking and alcohol are not allowed in the building or on the grounds at any time.
Please fill out the form below to schedule your date. Check out our wedding calendar shows the available dates. Dates are not final until they have been cleared with Pastor Joe and the deposit has been paid.
Call if you have questions or if you would like to see the facilities.

Contemporary Worship
Our contemporary worship takes place every Sunday at 8:30 in the Garden Room of the church. This informal setting is a wonderful opportunity to worship in a relaxed style. Music is led by an amazing group of professional musicians that make up our contemporary praise band. Additional special music is provided each week by instrumental and vocal soloists from the Central congregation as well as members of the community who enjoying sharing their message through music. While this service retains many elements of a traditional service including the pastor’s message, congregational singing, time for prayer and the opportunity to reflect on words of scripture, an element that makes it unique is the opportunity for those who are interested from the congregation to share in leadership roles, providing for wonderful variety. We hope you will join us in the coming weeks as you seek to find a place to be part of a community of faith.
Baptism
Central Church follows the United Methodists practice of accepting children of believing parents for the sacrament of baptism, through which they enter the church family as Baptized Members. Baptism always comes as a human response to the God’s initiative to love us and invite us into relationship. Whether we are adults, youth or children, our response to God does not depend on the level of our knowledge or our deeds, but on faith. In the baptism of youth and adults, this faith response comes from the person being baptized; in the baptism of children or others unable to answer for themselves, it is the faith of the parents or sponsors, who also commit to raise the child at home and in the church is such a way that they can eventually chose Christ for themselves. Generally youth and adults, who have not been previously baptized, receive this sacrament, when they are ready to profess their faith and become members. We recognize baptism in any Christian congregation and do not re-baptize persons, because we recognize that God who is acknowledged in baptism is faithful and never deserts us. When it is desired, we do offer the “Renewal of Baptismal Vows” for persons who have come back to church after a time away or come to a deeper or renewed faith in God.
Traditional Service
Our traditional worship service takes place each Sunday at 10:30 a.m. in the Sanctuary. We are very blessed at Central to have extremely talented musicians and musical staff to bless our services week in and week out. We have a wonderful bell choir that plays on occasion, our adult choir that blesses us each week through the fall, winter and spring months, and we often have special music and accompanists throughout the year. Our traditional service is filled with responsive readings, traditional hymns, beautiful organ and piano music, but we are never too far away from sharing laughter and our personal joys and concerns with one another. We would love for you to join us in the coming weeks, as you seek to find a place for yourself at Central.
